HOME GROUND RECOGNIZES LI 9/11 RESPONDERS
Home Ground’s efforts to reach out to Long Island 9/11 Responders has continued after the 4/3/05 Ceremony at Maria Regina Church, which honored over 200 Responders.
Since then the following 31 departments have submitted lists of their members who responded to or who operated in support of the response to the 9/11 terrorist attacks:
These responders, over 1200 in number, are being presented with Certificates of Recognition as well as LI 9/11 Responder Pins for their efforts during a time of great need following the World Trade Center terrorist attacks. This special recognition permits the Long Island community to share their appreciation for the efforts of these Responders as well as to inform them about Home Ground’s services.
We offer free and confidential counseling to 9/11 Responders and their families who need assistance in making the transition from Ground Zero to Home Ground.
